Getting Started

What does Meridian Wealth Office do?

We provide internationally focused, tax-efficient planning and investment solutions designed to help clients grow, protect, access and pass on wealth—often across multiple countries and currencies. Solutions are typically implemented via regulated financial institutions and platforms, including (where suitable) offshore bonds.

We accept applications from private individuals and corporate entities, subject to eligibility, due diligence (KYC/AML), and suitability.

Minimums vary by provider, jurisdiction, and solution type. We’ll outline realistic starting points during a confidential call once we understand your objectives and circumstances.

Security, Providers & Where Money Goes

Who is my contract with?

Your contract is directly with the regulated financial institution/platform provider you choose to use. Meridian Wealth Office acts as your adviser/intermediary (where permitted) and supports implementation and ongoing servicing.

Funds are sent directly to your account with the chosen bank/platform/provider—not to Meridian Wealth Office.

We operate a privacy-first approach and only request information necessary for due diligence, onboarding, and ongoing servicing. Information is handled in line with applicable data protection requirements and provider standards.

Investor Protection & Risk

Is my money guaranteed?

Investment values can rise and fall and you may get back less than you invest. Guarantees are not assumed—any capital protection features (if available) are product-specific and will be explained clearly before you proceed.

Certain Isle of Man life assurance products may fall under the Isle of Man Life Assurance (Policyholders’) Compensation Scheme, which can pay compensation up to 90% of the value of a protected contract, subject to the scheme’s terms and eligibility.

Compensation schemes (where applicable) generally relate to the failure/insolvency of a participating insurer/provider—not to normal market movements of the underlying investments. We will explain the key risks relevant to your chosen solution before you proceed.

Solutions & Planning

What is an offshore bond and why do people use them?

An offshore bond is an insurance-based investment wrapper offered by regulated institutions. When suitable, it can provide benefits such as tax deferral, multi-currency flexibility, investment choice, and structured withdrawals/legacy planning—depending on your residency, tax status, and objectives.

Yes. We arrange multi-currency regular savings plans designed for long-term goals such as retirement planning, children’s education, and future milestones (e.g., weddings or house deposits), subject to eligibility and product terms.

Yes. We can arrange professionally managed portfolios aligned to your objectives, time horizon, and risk profile, with ongoing monitoring and reviews.

In certain circumstances and where appropriate, solutions can be aligned with estate and succession objectives, and may be wrapped into an appropriate trust structure (subject to jurisdiction, eligibility, and professional advice).

Fees, Charges & Reviews

How do you get paid?
Fees depend on the solution and provider and may include adviser remuneration and/or product charges. We aim to be clear and transparent about costs and will explain the applicable charging structure before implementation.

Your plan is typically reviewed quarterly to ensure it remains aligned with your goals, market conditions, and any changes in your personal or financial circumstances. Additional reviews can also be arranged if you experience major life events—such as relocation, a business sale, or family changes—or if market conditions require a more structured adjustment.

Access, Withdrawals & Flexibility

Can I withdraw money whenever I want?
Access depends on the product and underlying investments. Some structures are designed for medium-to-long-term planning and may have dealing periods, notice requirements, or early withdrawal implications. We’ll explain liquidity and any penalties before you proceed.

Many solutions support major currencies (e.g., GBP, USD, EUR) and sometimes additional currencies depending on the provider. Currency choice and FX risk form part of suitability.

Technical Support

I can’t access my online portal—what should I do?
Contact us and we’ll guide you through the reset process and liaise with the provider/platform where needed.

Yes. Changes in residency, tax status, employment, or family circumstances can affect suitability and administration. Please notify us promptly so we can keep your records and plan current.

Compliance & Important Information

Do you provide tax or legal advice?

We provide planning and investment guidance; tax and legal outcomes depend on your personal circumstances and jurisdiction. Where necessary, we recommend you seek independent tax/legal advice and can work alongside your professionals.

Information on this website is general in nature and not personal advice. Any recommendation will be made only after we complete fact-finding, due diligence, and a suitability assessment (where applicable).
